Little Devil learn how to Order Roti Canai in Mamak

We train our kid about democracy from young age. We do lotsa things by voting one but of coz I kena inject some realism into the so called democracy by having the veto rights also la LOL!

Last sat nite i suddenly got this urge to eat roti canai so i asked both my wife n kid "Who want go yumchar?" immediately Lil Devil raise his hand and said "ME" ... but my wife not so keen she said "I dun wanna eat la .. i on diet!" but too bad ... its 2 against one ... we won! lol

Our regular mamak is not really far from our house, during the ride there Lil devil pop me a question ...

Lil Devil : Ahpa ... the roti canai with eggs is call what? I want that.

Me : Its call roti telur .. T... E...L...U...R gedit?

Lil Devil : TE -te LUR-lur telur ... roti telur .... roti telur .... roti telur *keeps repeating*

Me : Ok you know roti telur ledi later u go find the mamak uncle and order yourself ok?

Lil Devil : ok! roti telur ... roti telur *still repeating*

As we arrive at our fav mamak it was kinda crowded so me n wife go look for an empty table n fast fast "chup" it while Lil Devil seems to be looking for his fav mamak uncle to order his Roti Telur with him ... after looking high n low for the mamak uncle while mumbling he managed to catch him at the kitchen. From where we sit we can see that the uncle bend down to hear what Lil Devil gotta say and moment after that he burst out in very LOUD laughters!!! VERY VERY LOUD ONE till whole restoren can hear!!!

After awhile the Mamak uncle holding Lil Devil's hand and bring him to our table still giggling when he reached our table .... the mamak then said :

Mamak : boss lu mia anak manyak kelakar la *giggles*

Me : apesal aneh? ape dia cakap sama lu?

Mamak : Dia cakap dia cari saya suma tempat tarak jumpa ... die takut die lupa apa dia mau order la.

Me : Dia ade cakap sama lu dia mau order apa ka?

Mamak : hahahaha!!! ada! ada! boss ape maciam lu ajar die la?

Me : ape? die order apa sama lu?

Mamak : Dia cakap lu ajar die order ROTI TOYOL!!!

Me : KAKAKAKAKAKA!!! oi aneh bukan ROTI TOYOL la!!! ROTI TELUR LA!!! KAKAKAKA!!!

The Color of Mooncake Festival

Mid Autumn Festival to me is a festival for kids and family to get together and that is what we did. Although there is still a few days left before the actual date and since its weekend we took the chances to go back to my folks home and play tanglung like the good old days.

We kinda ruined the gate by placing lotsa candles onnit, looks like we gotta clean it up after mid autumn or my folks is really gonna weck us all kaw kaw lol.

This fish lantern has been with Little Devil since hes 2 years old, a gift from his grandpa and for the last 3 years he has been playing with this. Lets hope there will be many more years to come for this fish.

This big headed lantern belongs to my sis, been with her for a few years also.

Others than candles and tanglung we also got ourself some light fireworks and some pop-pops

Being a traditional Ahpek, we do not have fancy fancy battery operated noisy kinda tanglungs, that kinda tanglung is blardee annoying. If you asked me to choose i rather buy a torchlight instead.

Little Devil first encounter with fireworks, he finished the whole stack and still asking for more.

Why no mooncake? Well its not the actual date yet and if you noticed ... the price of mooncake is not cheap nowadays, so only on the actual date only eat ler! This year we got homemade mooncake instead of buying those expensive mooncake from outside.

If you cant make it back home to celebrate ... I hope the piktures in this post would be able to warm up your heart a lil bit and do call your folks and tell them how you wished you could be celebrating with them ok?

Dim Sum With My Folks

Now that you guys are out in the society working your ass off to pay your bills ledi, how often do you have blekfast with your parents?

I make it a point to bring them out for meals at least a couple times a month, I wanna let them know altho i m not staying together with them anymore, altho i am busy earning money to pay the bills and altho i am still engrossed with my blogging thingy .... I still think of my mum and father very often.

We went dimsum today, and of coz Lil Devil were the center of attention with all his monkey acts and witty comments. I am amused sometimes how my Lil' Devil are able to make them laugh out loud but I am never able to do that. Perhaps this is what the canto say "Yan Kap Yan Yuen" which means "Diff Human Diff Fate" ... some just dont have that kinda bond.

To save space so we could order more, we mixed all the single leftover dimsum into one bamboo steamer.

Lil Devil : OMG!!! WE ATE ALL THAT??!!! WOW!!!

The pile of bamboo steamers actually reminded me of the Sushi king RM2 promo they had a while ago.

I enjoyed my meal with my parents and siblings .... its good to know that they are healthy and happy.

In this life, there are a few thing u kenot choose one, one of them is parents .... so whatever it is love them with all your heart.
